Situated in a vast empty land but surrounded by a rice field in a suburban area out of Srisaket, the owner asked for a moderated size, single-story pitched roof house, using most ordinary materials available. With a great passion of the owner for tree transplanting, the house is simply placed near to the center of the plot, where existing infrastructure provided, divided the land into two gardens, front and back yards. The front yard offers a generous field for transplanting with easy access for tree trucks, allows maximum flexibility as a blank canvas for the owner to replant trees and create his own world. The backyard, on the other hand, is more private and intimate with lush landscape, pond, and outdoor dining space viewing toward sunset and the rice field. The linearity of the roof form and structure immediately conjoin fundamental programs in a simple order, conceals the backyard from the front, and acts as a subtle habitable element within the surrounded landscape.
